While all Marists seek to respond to important human needs,
social ministers work with and for those people whose needs
arise from their social marginalization.  

As social welfare workers, chaplains,
those who work with migrants and refugees, the homeless, working  with those with AIDS, Marists are able to confront  the social problems of the day.  Those directly involved in these ministries collaborate with other Marist family members including lay people to advance social concerns and human dignity for all.

Responding to important human needs  -  with the street boys in The Philippines, the Aborigine people in Australia and visiting the Zoro people of the Amazon Basin in Brazil and with the physically and intellectually impaired in New Zealand.
