The Marist Sisters first set up community in Davao City, The Philippines, in August 1998 with two Sisters.  A third joined them in 2000.

In January 2006, our congregational leader visited a larger group as there is already one professed sister from the Philippines and five candidates and two aspirants.

Up until 2005 the Sisters were involved in the Balay Pasilungan Street Boys Centre.  Here the boys receive a basic education, counselling, medical and dental care, clothing, have skill-training in the making of candles and other practical activities. More recently they have taken on ministry to prisoners.

"Following in the footsteps of Jeanne-Marie Chavoin and in solidarity with the Marist Family with whom we share a common call and tradition, we work in a 'hidden and unknown' manner, collaborating with those who seek to transform society." (Mission Statement)
