April has been a busy month for Sister Jane, our Superior General, as she carried out her mission of canonical visitation to the communities in Ireland. Her first port of call was the Sector community in Kennilworth Square, Dublin, where Sister Brigid Mary the Sector Leader lives with Veronica and Mary.

| She visited all the communities and had the pleasure of seeing the Tubbercurry project in action. The convent in Tubbercurry has been a home to many sisters down the years. As changes come we as Marist Sisters have to grow and change with the times. Our Convent is soon to become housing accommodation for many people, as the builders move in to convert it into appartments under the control of the Sophia Society. |

A new house will be built to accommodate the sisters who will continue their ministry in the Primary school, Parish and the surrounding area. |
Sister Jane finally visited the community in Belfast before returning to Dublin where the Icelandic ash prevented her return to Rome on the planned date.

This meant she could visit some beautiful sights around Dublin and also the castle in Kilkenny before returning three days later.
